I paint for 25 years, at first in pastels, later in oil or mixed materials only. Experiments with different methods such as spatula-,wipe-, and scratch techniques enlarged my work with the brush. During an exhibition at the museum in the Castle of Coppenbrügge 1999 followed by a concert, I was inspired to begin the work with soapstone. As a result, several sculptures were produced, to be followed later by collages etc.

Music as one of the aspects of art often inspires me greatly, so for instance, the Violine Sonata of the contemporay composer Fazil Say, that prompted me to paint the 3 paintings you can view on the starting page.

The fusion of the resonance body in an instrument and the human body, the melting together of a musician with his instrument and the music he plays, the composition and creation of melodious and painted strokes of the brush, combine both, colour and sound to an infinite variety of new picture compositions.
